DENVER
RESTAURANT
WEEK
Your guide to the best food in The Mile High City.
Creative & Art Direction, Branding, Social Strategy

To all the haters out there who think the Denver food scene is lacking - our VizID of Denver Restaurant Week will be sure to change your mind. (And the number of James Beard and Michelin Starred recommended and awarded chefs and outlets).
Exploration is part of Denver’s DNA; it is why we live here and as such we needed to create a proprietary brand forging an emotional connection with patrons. Enter: Chef Tasty - a guide, companion, and trusted confidant navigating diners around every culinary corner just in time to kickoff the 20th Anniversary of DRW.

Setting the table with this strategy, we went far beyond the basic representation of cutlery, transactional messaging of price points, sponsors, and merely mentioning participating restaurants to increase participation and share-ability across all media touchpoints.

I had a great time developing the creative direction of this campaign — culminating in a pretty spectacular set of commercials, social assets, print media, out-of-home placements, and a brand spankin' new website.

We needed a hardworking logo that was as varied and approachable as any of the restaurant menus being featured during Denver Restaurant Week. Infusing the brand with patterns, textures, and high-contrast colors brought everything together for an incredibly successful refresh and new website.
To make this a more tactile campaign, (because who can resist some of these food shots), I wrote and designed a guide for color, textures, patterns, animation, and more allowing anyone to understand HOW to use Chef Tasty in combination with the elements.
I also wrote image guidelines for future photoshoots including: light and contrast, composition, color, and, lifestyle and food and detail perspectives; it is one of the more fun and robust guides I've had the pleasure to create.
